I assigned 2 books for each of you through the epic website.  I hope you like them.  Also, if you haven't tried Xtra math it's super fun.  Paolo has been using and likes it.  Way to go Paolo.

Parents if you have a hard time logging into these sites please let me know.  I'll walk you through it.
Have a great rest of your day.  I hope you were able to get out and enjoy the sunshine.  Practicing social distancing of course.

Quick Update
I'm sure that you all saw the news last night with the governors decision to finish the year with distance learning.  This means that students and staff will not be going back to the school building.  This is all new to all of us and we are doing our best to understand what it will look like for first grade.  I will continue to communicate openly and provide you with updated information as it becomes available. I know this information is hard on all of us.  Please feel free to contact me if your child needs to talk.

Please have your child continue to work in the packets that you got for this week and do the same with the next weeks packet.  A new packet will be ready for pick up some time next week at your school food distribution site.

The public library is closed. However, they are providing curbside or home delivery. You can call 802-655-6424 or email winooskilibrary@winooski.gov to request reading books!

Good Morning Friends and Families!

You will be receiving an email from Xtra Math today.  This is a free math program that teaches addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  Xtra math helps students transition from counting or calculating the basic math facts to recalling them.  It will also help build up both accuracy and fluencey.  It only takes about five minutes.  Have fun!

Hello Families,
I hope everyone is okay and adjusting to the new normal.  We are all doing it together.  I miss seeing the children everyday.  My plan is to update this website  each day.  I will highlight various online resources, and share pictures.

If you do not have internet access at home you can call Spectrum to sign up for free: 1-844-488-8395

Some things to get started:
-A staff member will be in contact with you everyday, via email or by phone to check in.

-We put together a lot of stuff in your child's packet with a sample schedule(Do what works for you).  The most important thing is the well-being of your child and you.  Please reach out to me if you have any questions.

-If you haven't picked up your PreK-5th grade students educational work material you may pick them you on Monday, March 23rd-27th from 9:30-10:00.  All student materials need to be picked up at the meal distribution site closest to your home.

-Most importantly, please send me pictures of your child, playing, reading, doing the packet, etc.  I would love to see all their faces.

Thanks for your flexibility and understanding as we navigate these uncharted waters together.
